Mr. Brian Sullivan is a Senior Director, managing PMA Consultants’ Rhode Island Office. Mr. Sullivan has over 25 years’ experience in the design, construction, management, and claims on infrastructure and vertical construction projects throughout New England and New York. He has served as a construction superintendent, design engineer, and for the past twenty years as a programmatic/project management, scheduling, and claims consultant. Mr. Sullivan, previously lead the scheduling and claims department of a Rhode Island based consulting firm. Mr. Sullivan earned his Master of Science in Civil Engineering and his MBA from the University of Hartford. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Mr. Sullivan is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.
Mr. Sullivan’s notable accomplishments include serving as project manager for two consecutive five-year Programmatic Scheduling and Claims Contracts for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT). Mr. Sullivan’s contributions on these projects lead to the Federal Highway Administration recognizing the efforts as “Best Practices in Scheduling/Claims Management”. Mr. Sullivan has also assisted numerous private and public clients, including universities, with scheduling, project controls, and claims avoidance/management. His claims efforts included assisting RIDOT with oversight of all their claims through their Programmatic Contract and proving forensic scheduling/claims analysis, expert reports, and testimony in matters.
